Chapter Nine

A few minutes later, Lynlee stepped out of the bathroom. She probably took the quickest shower of her life, but then again, it wasn’t every day when two handsome cowboys waited in her bed.

With a large towel crowning her head and another one covering her body, she strolled into the room and struck a pose at the end of the bed. Her hand rested on the curve of her waist and the other one remained flat against her upper thigh.

“Lose the towel,” Rhett said in a guttural tone, taking a seat on the edge of the bed. “I want to see those pretty boobs again. You moved so fast a minute ago, I didn’t get a good look.”

Blaine was propped up against several pillows with his right arm casually curved around the top of his head. He looked relaxed, like he wasn’t at all nervous about seeing her with Rhett.

She’d often wondered about whether or not he’d share her. Most of the time, when she considered the possibilities, she decided he wouldn’t. Now, she questioned all of their motives. Did Blaine’s willingness to let Rhett join them in bed mean he didn’t really want her for keeps?

As suddenly as the intrusion of apprehension invaded her thoughts, a soothing memory replaced it. Blaine told her he loved her. At the most intimate moment of her life, he’d said the most precious statement she’d ever heard, and he’d looked sincere.

Then, he’d made love to her. He hadn’t fucked her. He didn’t take her hard, even though some part of her may have longed for a true screwing. He’d taken her to bed like a gentleman, and they’d made slow and magical love.

Lynlee had been loved by Blaine McCain, a sexy-hot, rugged man, and not at all the boy she remembered, not the cowboy who tried his best to devil her at every turn. In so many ways, he made her feel desired and special, but more than anything else, he used their time together to make her feel like she’d also been marked as his. Had he branded her with his love? She wondered. And if so, how did Rhett fit into the mix?

Rhett’s blue eyes looked different, weighted down with pure desire. Lust filled the room, and if the hard cocks failed to showcase the wantonness in existence, then the warm expressions washing across each man’s face told plenty.

“I’ve never been with two men.”

“Blaine here said you’d never been with a man at all before tonight. Is it true or not?”

“It’s true.”

“I knew it,” Blaine said with a great deal of satisfaction.

“Of course you did,” Rhett grumbled. “A man always knows.”

“A man always knows a lot of things,” Blaine said, studying Lynlee.

“What do you mean?” she asked, trying her best to ignore the warm puddle pooling in between her thighs.

“You’re nervous, but excited,” Blaine began, easing away from the bed. “I know you’re waiting for one of us to make the first move because you aren’t sure if you should first approach me or go to Rhett, since he’s closer.
